Hilux bearing seals? Wed, 02 June 2004 00:36 Go to next message
Can anyone tell me which way around the bearing seals go into the carriers on the Hilux diff?
Does it go in so the little lip sits inside the carrier? I have tried this but its a very tight fit and looks as though it might need to be pressed in Confused
Does this sound about right? Thanks

Yeah the lip should be on the inside (diff centre) side of the diff.

I usually get a socket or bit of pipe the same size as the seal and tap it in.
