Here in Hobart, you can buy brand new 4A-FE bottom ends for $399 from the dealer. 7- rib.

Its no deal at all. The more ribs the stronger, but who has had their block come apart?

Tim I am selling them together for $180, which is pretty fair value seeing as one just needs a cleanup and check over and you could throw it under the 4A-C the other has a crank only and needs the pistons and rods to finish it, I dont want them taking up space so its easier to get rid of both at once or not sell them at all to me.

C'mon u know u wanna make some space. One is much better than two lying around taking up all that room
A couple of question 4 u my good man.
1) If i wanna use it with my boat anchor head do i need the pistons as well as the ge crank or just the crank?
2) 99% sure it's gunna be for a rwd rolla. Does this make any difference? What r these blocks from.
3) Please seperate em, please please please

ok heres where you can start to play games or just do things the easy way.....
you can use the ge pistons ( I have a brand new set for sale going cheap allready balanced!!! if you want them too 1mm oversize!! ) but you would have to reset the timing so that its all clearancing ok which can be done, ive worked it out once before..however it will no longer be a non-interferance system!!!!
or the easy and safe way with less power is to use your C pistons and rods and bolt them straight on to the crank as Ive explained sooooo many times before, and you retain a non-interferance system.

nup makes no difference at all, the only thing to watch out for is if they are a FWD engine thats come from a front damaged wreck (these blocks arent, ones a rwd the others from a stripped rolla) sometimes the blocks may be cracked from the impact..particularly around the engine mount on the front (traditional RWD setup front that is..ok clearer michael...the mount that goes thru the cam cover) which usually gives first being the smallest and least amount of contact area for the mount.

$80 for the block with crank only. That's 50% less unwanted blocks in your garage/shed/carport/living room.
