20v CV Joint Boots/Grease Thu, 03 June 2004 00:04 Go to next message
I've nearly completed the 20v conversion in my AE92. However, I've decided to replace the CV joint boots as one was a bit suspect. Does anyone know the part number for either genuine or aftermarket CV joint boots for the 20v. Jason's Excellency article on the 20v conversion into an AE92 gives a repco number for the inner CV joint boot but the suspect boot I have is the outer one.

Also, the outer CV was packed with what looked like normal Molybdenum Disulphide grease (thick green stuff), but the inner joints (tripoids) had some very runny yellow-brown grease. Does anyone know what grease to use in the inner CV's.

Any help would be much appreciated as I'm keen to be able to actually drive this car again!

Toby
