A few JZZ30 Soarers on the ALSC with T04 variants - most don't seem to make any useable boost below 4000rpm though...probably better suited to a 3L engine.

But using small exhaust housing so we hope it will spull up at 2500rpm.

think of it this way.. the 1jzgte vvti version came out with a bigger single (around t04 size) to achieve a few more hp more reliably...

hehe nope, the VVTI (single turbo) 1jz was still only quoted byt toyota at 208kw, it did however make more torque, and it makes it lower in the rev range so it is more usable

I was speaking to a fella who had twin t28's on his 1jz and then swapped to a GT3040 and the car made more power but because of the lag it was actually slower from a stop. His car was manual also.

Smaller than a CT26 off a 7M... dunno about a 3SGTE CT26, never held one.
Don't they uprade CT26s with a the larger T04 Comp wheel?
Chris
That would be Juice/Jason with the 3040 and previously with the T28s.
Many reasons why a matched set of twins can outperforma a large single - cost usually isn't one.

T04 covers so many of the Garrett range -= various trims and wheel diameters. The CT26 is similar to a T04E.
I currently have a GT3040 on my 1.8 with 0.82 exhaust housing it doesn't spool too well, I reckon that it'd be lightening on a 1J tho.
