put a multimeter on the temp sender on the motor and see if its giving a reading

wat type of motor do u have

i think 16v and 4ac rwd motors its on the coolant outlet at the top of the motor at front

dont know wat the readings are meant to be but just run the motor and see if the resistance value changes as the car warms up

ok

i was playing around with my car today. i pulled the wire off the coolant sensor on the top water outlet. i found this had no effect on the gauge whatsover. also i measured the voltage between the sensor and the wire and it was at 8.5 and rose to 9 about a minute later.

thanks

I have found via 2 cracked heads that a temp gauge is very important tool for a 4AGE Smile

One minute they will run fine, next minute youve cooked one without any prior notice...
