i've done this, into a AE71 sedan
i bolted a T25 to the side of a stock 20V, 2.5inch exhaust, mircotech LTX-8, stock diff, stock gearbox, and its been running great.
Got 124KW at the wheels, nice low down torque, running 7psi, comes on at about 3000rpm,
cost about $4000 for engine, computer, clutch, fuel system, tuning, turbo, manifold, exhaust, etc.

Hey Davo what headaches have you had since the turbo was installed if any. Have you gone through many boxes and are you in the Sydney area. Wouldn't mind having a look.

Awesomes man. And you got all that installed for $4K? Heck thats a good deal.
If possible could you post up a pic of the engine bay, would love to see it. Thanks.
Do you know if it'll be the same process installing a turbo on the 4AGZE?

i may be able to get pics up this weekend, as i may get a hold of a digi camera, i've had no troubles with it, the oil seals in the turbo are gone, but thats alright cause the turbo only cost $50 bucks,$4k was for everything, installed it my self and did everything but the things that needed to be welded, i sourced all the parts myself. Don't know the full details about doing it with a GZE, 20V was a pretty easy install, i guess you could do the 20V then get low comp. pistons.
i'm in the sutho shire, give us a call if you want to come check it out.

you mean sutherland i am unfamilar with the sutho shire.
Hey you said you could do the 20v with low comp pistons. Does this mean you used low comp pistons or are you still using all factory internals.

have you had any problems with blow by etc...
a friend just put a turbo on a lancer and hes got all kinda of problems he cant rev it out cause it has to much blow by and the dipstick flys out and his seals are starting to leak
does it pull heaps harder then before? is it worth the effort to turbo?

I did the tuning on dayo's car, i must say i was very suprised in what it did with the tiny turbo on it, lag is very very low and it keeps pulling all the way to 7500rpm no problems at all,
it goes very well for a cheap conversion,

One last question were the quads left on and if they were how hard were they to tune. If i go turbo i want to leave the quads on.

yes quads were on,
tune was not too dufficult, would be a hell of a lot eaiser with a single throttle body tho

some good info there
regarding the leak down test to do that it must have been pinging, you only break things when they ping,
i have turboed NA motors heaps of times before and they have never missed a beat in the 25,000km on 15pi boost they have done,
