Ok i would not use a k-mac camber kit, they are just shit. They fall out of alignment very easily due to the fact that they use rubber not metal, i use a noltec camber kit in my car they are worth a bit more, but atleast you can dial some negative camber out of it and it doesnt fall out when you go over a speed hump.

Mate go with Noltec. I've also heard bad things about K-Mac.
I got a set of Noltec camber/caster adjusters on my RA28 and been good so far.
Also if you are a Toymods member you get a 25% discount!
So if you arn't, join up! You will save money for sure if purchasing something as expensive as camber adjusters.

Thanks guys,
I've just picked up a set for my ra28, yes, they are noltec.
I had ordered a set from kmac to be made up and ready today. But I rang them a went past and had a look, heaps better.
Theres 2 types for street & rally. The difference is steet has some rubber for a slightlier comfy ride and spring rated to 350lbs, where as rally is a solid centre, same price $450 inc gst RRP Stock no.(N44027). I got it for way less. Just by looking at them they look heaps stronger and will last you heaps longer than Kmac.

Yeah i have the rally set in my car, didnt want that rubber crap in my camber kit purely cause thats what makes the camber kits stuff up, i paid $500 for it, but that was fitted and inc wheel alignment so i think i got a half decent deal and i must say after seeing the trouble some ppl have had with k-mac (as soon as you drive it out of the susspension place after a wheel alignment) the thing feels fine for 5 mins then falls out of alignment.

When you actually look at the alternative you see how shit it kmac would be, the speed humps, hitting foot paths and just hard cornering would put heaps off strain on the kits.
To me it was a good buy.

Have any of you guys heard anything about castor kits?
The front camber on my car is fine, Whiteline installed a camber kit into it, but I want to increase the castor for better turn in.
The only way I can think of would be a strut top adjustment, just along the car instead of across it like a camber kit.

can rotate a strut top camber kit so that the adjustment runs at any angle you want...
my home made ones have the adjustment running at 45 degrees, so i have 20mm more castor and camber at the strut top.
on commerical strut tops tho, the bolt position may be an issue.

My strut tops have 3 bolts to fix them to the car, but they can't be turned around.
this would probably need a custom job then?
If so, where would be recommended?

Mate can't comment on your car as never worked on one.. But most cars have a radius rod that can be adjusted to pull the control arm forward and adjust the castor.
Otherwise, you can get strut tops (such as Noltec) that allow camber and castor adjustment.
Cheers

So the Noltec ones allow for both movement?
Perfect.
I'm hoping to go 4wd soon & I want to increase the camber on the front as well. The current Camber pins are on their max adjustment.
I have the same strut tops as Celicas, so hopefully these may be on the shelf.
Most modern cars like mine don't have a separate radius rod, rather the lower control arm is hinged on the car in 2 different spots.

Turbor28 this ones for you, or any one for that matter.
Since I've just bought the noltec kit, one thing puzzles me.
When the kit is fitted where does the actual spring cradle into at the top. Doesn't the ra28 have a cradle where the spring sits and the small hole for the shock shaft to go through and then this all fits under the tower then bolts in? Is this cradle replaced with the c/kit and if so where does the spring now cradle into. May be a silly ? but I have not checked it out yet? Anyone???

Omegaman the notec kit forms the cradle for the top part of the spring.
Wagonist the notec kit allows for camber and castor adjustment becuase they form the sturt top, and i think you will find it you want a sharper turn in that you would want you castor closer to zero from the +ve side, but be carefull when doing this as it will effect high speed turn in ability of the car and make it a real handfull to drive at high speeds due to the fact your turn in aint as smooth and this will throw the car around more, particialy the back end, thats somethign to think about before doing harsh adjustments on castor.

hey so does my 1969 corolla
we don't need no stinkin' radius rods....
MUUHAHHAHAHAHHA
as for the strut top.. couldn't you just drill the holes in the strut top and rotate it so that the adjustment goes in a different direction? is what i did for mine.. but they are just home-made jobbies
