No i did not qoute adelaide i suggest u phone NQX and tell them the particulars and we can get a better idea from there....
NQX has a depot on the gold coast and there is no diff in price between bris and gc to melbourne.....

the motor was out of my mums mz12 soarer wich i got a hold of to do a 1j conversion the motor has not missed a beat and been serviced evry 3-5ooo ks as both my bro and myself are both mechanics.....

no urgent parts in particular for the moment, I should have my car back on the road next week and I'll see how I feel from there

My last engine need a top end rebuild, cam gear, valve lifters all completely stuffed, I'd put it down to bad maintenance befoer I got a hold of it.

I'm going the 6M-GTE hybrid around x-mas time (hopefully)
and I'm VERY interested in a manual conversion

Will the 1G box bolt up ok? & do you have all the other gear for an mz12? pedal box, flywheel etc etc?

Finally someone other than myself with an MZ12 Very Happy

Actually somthing just came to mind, its certainly not urgent, but I am chasing the intake plumbing for a 6M-GEU, just down to the AFM, my AFM is fine but the plumbing is dodgy as hell. (zip ties & thermal tape masterpiece constructed by the previous owner i presume)

Do you have that spare? & in decent condition?

If not I'll make somthing up myself

5M-E intake piping is different to 5M-GE and 6M-GE.

Mine was dodgy as hell when I bought it, so I went to a truck parts place and bought a length of 70mm reinforced plastic tubing. I ran that from the crossover pipe to the AFM, and it worked really well. Made the engine sound great too, heaps of induction noise. Smile

was that a flex type pipe or did you have an elbow of some description at the crossover?
I'll definately have to fabricate plumbing myself anyhow as I'm going 6M-GTE at some stage (hopefully soon)
But I'm really not sure as to whats available for this kinda stuff these days.

1JHeaven >>
Definately wanna keep in touch , there isn't alot of MZ's around at all thesedays, let alone healthy wrecks.
And I Definately want to convert to Manual, but it has to be neat, so you are the man with the parts for me, keep in touch with me on that!
I'll definately want a healthy box to go in though, what is it anyway? W57?

Yes, it was a flexible rubber tube with wire reinforcing. Apparently it's used on turbodiesel trucks so it should be pretty strong!
