Every time my gf drives my car, she humiliates some rice boy. I feel sorry for the bastards... Beaten by a girl in an old bomby Celica...
My gf once took a corner too fast, the car went into a drift and she went "WHEEEE!!!".... Thank god I've got good suspension on the car...

Couldn't we combine this with the other thread about padock bashers?
This way they can drive....
The whole idea of the day would be to wreck a couple of cars anyway.
No risk to the General Public and more importantly my Girl (and by girl I'm refering to my car... not the G/F).
Everyone Wins.

Oh well.. i thought it was a mad idea. I know heaps of chicks that know how to drive and get more sideways in the wet then most guys ( not always on purpose ) hehe. I'll trust one to drive the cressida, will be funny watching her blow off people with its Point and spray driving style

I'd like my girlfriend to drive my car so she sees what its like to drive a car with a bit of power compared to her colt but the idea of handing the keys over to her just scares me, and it would end up being the most stressful day of my life sitting in the passenger seat all day long with her behind the wheel.

I don't know about you guys but i like my clutch the way it is (working).
In a FWD or RWD changing a clutch isnt that big a deal in most cases. Have you ever tried changing a cltch in an AWD ie:GT4, lots of cursing, grazing, squashing, no room to move and a major pain in the ass job to do. When i changed mine last year i remeber calling Toyota to get a quote from them just out of curiosity & they wanted $2200 for labour alone

Luke,
This is a great idea....
As for all the negative comments about girls driving (not by you Luke) - I have only ever had one speeding fine in 18 years of driving and anyone can tell you that knows me that I am as "reckless" (or as game!) as any of the guys in our club who drive their cars...
I hope that Rod would trust me to drive his cars... God knows I have trusted him to drive mine and they have come back broken every time!!!!!!!
I will be there even if I have to con my brother in law to let me drive the 1J Cressida....
Hugs

GEE120, I know exactly what you mean about the clutch being a total bitch to replace in a GT4. I went to a clutch course a few years back, and they warned us about them. They are supposed to take about 10 hours from start to finish (for a qualified mechanic). Never done one though.

And of course the girls can then be d.drivers

UM, with the whole "treasure hunt" thing, I think you've got it wrong, it's chicks that can't read maps, it would be harder if the guys were driving and the chicks were navigating!
I can't believe most of you guys!! My girl could drive my car whenever she wanted (and she can't even drive a manual!) I mean you do trust them with your more "intimate" possession don't you?? I know which I'd be more scared of loosing (those teeth look sharp!!)

Tim,
No offence, but some of us dont drive cars worth only $3-4K(not trying to say your cheap, just pointing out my view on why i dont let my chick drive my car) my GT4 is worth almost $40K

just because you may trust her with your life doesn't mean she has the abbility to drive your high powered car. and if your like me you don't trust anyone driving your car except yourself,
remember back to Supergates incident
i would let my gf drive on a freeway at first then maybe a non busy road but wouldn't chuck her the keys and say "drive along this dirt track" or "drive to such and such in peak hour traffic"

Well, well, well.....
I spoke to Rod about this and he said he would let me drive his car!
At the end of the day it is up to the respective owner of the vehicle as to whether or not they would trust their other half to drive the vehicle. $$$$ (Dollars) really do not play a part - Rod and I have spent copious amounts of money on our cars but that has never stopped us from driving the other ones vehicle.
As for girls not being able to read maps - CRAP!!!.
Anyway just my two cents - no offence intended - We will be there with bells on.... It should be fun considering Rod cannot read in a moving vehicle - guess I had better bring a bucket!

I guess each to there own...
Personally i don't have a real worry with Mark driving my car... Except being only on his "P" plates... it does make a trip alittle slow at times...
i just know that i would not be impressed if i knew that he didn;t trust me enought to drive his car.

i dont mean any offense to anyone of course... but my gf would no be able to drive my car. I trust her completely with my life etc, but handing her the keys to a machine she is unfamiliar with and unable to control is just asking for problems. Not to mention the fact that it would be risking her life as well as mine.
GEE, i couldnt agree more... im in the same kinda boat. if i handed my gf the keys... she would throw them back at me and run away. She is more scared of the idea of driving my car than i am of her driving it.
money is not the issue here, risking lives is. If my gf had the ability to drive my car... sure NO WORRIES! but unfortunately at this point in time she does not, and she knows shes doesnt.
Im not having a go at anyone, im merely pointing out that placing a person in a potentially life-threatening situation (ie behind the wheel of a car) where they dont have the skills and familiar surrounding required to survive, is not cool... whether it be your gf, your mum, you neighbour, a comlete stranger.

Ok maybe I'll rephrase it...
Of course there is a difference if she is not able to drive it...
But I was feeling that none of you would let her even if she could....
Maybe I was reading it all wrong.
