New Halogen Headlights in AE86

I just bought blue light halogen globes for my sprinter... You know the ones that make the lights more white/blue? more sighting extra...
how ever i have fialed to notice a huge difference between these new ones and my original lights (they wern't white or blue or whatever)
i noticed that there is a little cap in the headlights that seems to block most of the light and turn it yellow again...
Does anyone know if i can remove this cap? or am i doing something wrong to not get a bright white headlight?
any help would be great

As I have discovered, chances are your new blue ones are actually not as bright as your factory ones. The blue filter removes the other colours which results in less light to light things up.
See if you can change them for a pair of Narva Plus 50's these have actually been proven brighter.

I have some headlight forsale , after those cheap high temperature operating globes which are most properly to high wattage rating for sprinter head light melt you casings { due to no cooling }. Then try to get the company : even osram , to pay for the testing of there globes and your headlights when you are in court with the manufacture , since there normally come with the " not for highway use " " not for road use warning " on the packaging .

Most of the lights on the market are just plain rice and offer less visibility as the stock ones. I bought a pair a while ago and they were absolutely crap so i took them back and got a refund.
Id stick to a trusted brand such as Narva or get one of those HID systems.(not cheap though)

bought raybrig surrounds and new raybrig bulbs
havent received them yet (damn japan)
they are 120w 135w 5000k brightness BUT they run from 50w 55w wattage draw. some crazy new technology that lets them be 120w brightness while using only 50w draw on the lights circutry
very cool but exxy, im not telling how much i paid...

I've got whitey/blueish globes on my '86, and they're real bright. I'm not sure of the manufacturer tho. They provide good visibility and dont look too ricey from the outside. I really dislike yellow light.

I have 100/90Ws on my car and have been running globes like those for a couple of years now.
I was initially worried about the extra load on the wiring, but I've had no problems.
If you're interested, read this:

Anyway, as for the white bulbs, I love the colour, it's just so much more natural.
And, yes they are a bit blue and a bit yellow depending upon the angle (and depending upon the brand), but it's mainly white.
