i've never ever played with a boost gauge
but perhaps this might help with some trouble shooting...
try unplugging the gauge line from the t-peice
rev the engine and feel for any "air" comming from the t-peice
if you dont feel anything then perhaps the gauge is fubar?
i've seen this on refrigeration gauges, shows a reading when in vacuum(never overly accurate but it shows a vacuum) but no positive pressure

haha then its probably the VSV valve.......it bleeds air until the heater is turned on, then its used for the climate control.
Thats my guess anyway....
If thats the case, time to move the T piece

not sure how accurate it is

i always find that runnin the black vac hose then sliding the white plastic pipe inside the hose is nooo goood
they leak
make sure u have a veryyyyy good seal where the white pipe goes into the black vacuum tubing
another thing is u really should not t piece the vac line into the map sensor hose
im not tooo sure but the second time u fitted the vac hose
t piece looks like it might be map sensor
i might be wrong
just double check it
u really dont want any interuptions on the map sensor hose
just a thought

im getting really sick of this.. i dunno what its doing.. but its not working at all
vacuum is fine..... but still showing no boost
if i blow into the line it rises to about 1 psi..
so it should be working correctly
seems to be sealing very well..
ive got it on the one next to the engine oil dipstick in 1st pic now
if i am to take the T piece out i will have to buy a new hose and put it on

sheesh,
you really wanna be sure? drill and tap a hole in the plenum
and take heed of the comment on vacuum tubing over those white T pieces
THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR PRESSURE.
you are most likely loosing pressure from the fittings..
would you run a hose from a turbo or intercooler WITHOUT a hose clamp? would you run a fuel line without a hose clamp?
nope.. and why?? cos they are under pressure aaahhhh i hear you say
clamp ALL the fittings for the vac/boost lines.. or they could easily blow off when under boost.

Also, don't rev it too hard in nuetral as I was told it puts major stress on the valves when there is no load.

they all seem clean...
chris from sound off was around today and said i was definately on the right line...
theres no chance of leakage at all now...
car is making a shit load of power.. now its spinning the wheels in the dry at id say anything over 4000 rpm.. so its obviously making ample power
im gonna try jakes boost gauge in coming days...
im a bit more worried about the actual car atm.. as its not fully wired
but i still dont see where the problem is.. cause id say it was the gauge if it wasnt making positive pressure when i was blowing into it

well.. i now know why the fucking gauge wasnt working..
intercooler hose had blown off hence wasnt making boost
car was still damn fast without boost amazingly.. connected it a few times.. but anything over 5 psi would blow the piping back off again
