Hey Peoples I heard a rumour that you can purchase aluminium hilux brake calipers like the ones off the hilux model ln106.Is this true cause I am doing the corona/hilux/peugeot conversion on the TA22 and it would save a lot of weight.Any help appreciated.

Pete,
Looks like this is news to all of us on this forum. If anyone would know, I would expect that we do. Besides, to copy a caliper design (in aluminium or anything else) you would need a licence agreement from Sumitomo, who made them originally. Sounds like a forum hoax to me. Anyway, if you find some, tell the rest of us via this list.
Thanks,
Mitch.

Probably someone has got confused with the various Nissan 4-pot calipers which are similar looking to the Hilux ones. See http://www.princeton.edu/~asad/zbrakes/ for a comparison of the 2 different ali and 1 iron caliper used on different 300ZX models. Incidentally, these alloy calipers seem to pop up for sale fairly regularly for as little as $250-$300 a pair.
Hope this helps,
Dominic
