It all depends on the condition of the parts, especially the flywheel, clutch & pp, and what your intentions (power wise) for the car.

As an example, I have gotten a W58 (ex MA70 7M-GE including bellhousing), pedals, clutch m/cyl, flywheel, PP & clutch plate, & pedals & shifter for $500.

I sold the MA70 clutch pedal, clutch m/cyl, brake pedal for $80 (I needed the MA61 which is slightly different), the std flywheel, clutch & pp was sold for $25, and the bellhousing (a spare one) was sold for about $65.

Unless the parts are in good nick or upgraded, $440 sounds a bit high.

Cheers

meh ?

As I said before, it depends. What spec stuff are you getting and what condition is it in ?

What was it last used on ?

Are you in a hurry ?

Whoo are you buying it from ?

A reasonable price varies for each person. Smile

Also another thing to bear in mind, if you are putting it behind a 7mgte is the flywheel size. I believe that 2 different flywheel sizes came out behind M series motors connected to W5X geraboxes (not R154's), one taking a 225mm clutch palte and one a 236mm/240mm clutch plate.

The 5M-E's had the 225mm clutch plate one the 5MGE/7MGE's got a 236mm/240mm clutch plate.
With a 7mgte I'd try and get the larger flywheel if possible to make clutch and pressure plate selection easier.

Thread on it was here

That price does sound a bit steep too.

Cheers

i only joined this forum 2 days ago and i already love it. thanks for the info.

the price is now $350 and it is from behind a 5mge so it should be the larger of the two. i am in WA remember so parts can be either extremely easy/cheap to get or the opposite.

thanks again for the info
