IRS for 86?

(Done search)
Just curious what people think of installing a diff/axle/lsd setup that is an IRS.
Since a LSD conversion whethe rit be the jap-spec rear-end or another end grafted on its quite pricey already.
Anyone thought about this?
And the Toyota wisdomers... any idea what axle/car rear end may be suiting to use and what madifications may be needed?
Or anyone know of (ugh) non-toyota axle assemblies that may work?
During my overly amounted free time and browsing though jap pages I ran into a custom race double wish bone IRS being bu9ilt for an ae86..... was nic ebut expensive and deemed only for track use.

Tofu
I did i quick search as well , and came up with not much information on this . So i asked a friend in HK atm to look into this over there , he grabbed a magazine over there which has a write up on this conversion using a s13 rear subframe with a mount kit which a few people have made . I am awaiting to see the article . Then if its look any good will purchase one , stick it on the container back {copy it}. I also want to see if a S15 rear can be used due to the excessive poor camber quality's of the S13 rear vs S15 rear . And the S15 rears come with a nicer lsd unit . Another option i was looking at was a e36 , but its worth more than a sprinter . That one i will leave waiting for a bm2002.

If installing an LSD or indeed and entire axle made for the car is deemed pricey, just try adding up the costs of fabricating and installing and engineering an IRS system for a live axled car(a custom job of the highest order).
Comparison of costs:
Good/Smart option
Parts (inc diff) $2500
Labour (4hrs @ $60hr) $ 240
_________
Total $2700
Hairbrain IRS scheme
Parts (diff, hubs/brakes, axles, materials etc) $2500
Subcontract engineering/design $1000 or so
Labour/Fabrication (80hrs or so, if yer lucky) $4800
_________
Total $8300
Rex's pricing may be a little off baecuse he hasn't looked too deeply into it, nor has he thought of all the job entails but judging by the cost of a medium difficulty engine conversion, Rex would say, you'd get no change from $10000.
Rest assured it is a huge job, in which the lives of some very important suspension/handling characteristics hang in the balance
If you want Rex's advice, be reasonable.
Rex's post about not butchering another perfectly good AE86 stands.

once you start thinking about this, you need to start thinking about getting a differant car. a sprinter is what it is, a cheap simple rwd car, that looks kinda cool (to some people).
if you want a cheap simple rwd car with irs (and a turbo as a bonus) get an s13.
ra60's are live axle and of very similar suspension design to sprinters. ra65s are irs.
do you know anything about roll centres ect though? ill admit i dont really. you could learn a few places online.. engineering tips.. think its engtips.com. its ment to be for engineers only though, so if you go asking questions there, youll probably end up booted. you can sign up and browse though.
