i got a vdo dayton 2200 head unit thats about 4 years old now and it still goes hard its blown 2 sets of speakers and has a whole bunch of extra goodies like temp sensors and speed sensors etc good stuff i think [Report message to a moderator]

VDO has 2 ranges. They bought out Phillips a few years back, and just rebadged every Phillips Car Audio, VDO. So stay away from that range. But the VDO Dayton range is good. Very nice features on these decks for sure. [Report message to a moderator]

I've never had problems with the few VDO branded head units I've installed, as far as I know they are all still going strong. Nice extra features that add to a car as well. [Report message to a moderator]
