I would be interested. I have a short shifter at the moment, but its a dodgy home made one (came with my halfcut). I already have the riser plates so all I need is a new shaft.

I'd be interested in one for a AE92...
What exactly do you need to do for the mod? Swap over the shaft obviously, but anything else? riser plates?

the TRD quick shift lever for an aw11 mr2 is actually the same length as the stock sw20 lever, except the tab is 15mm higher.
they will fit but you might need a shorter one for an sw20

I have already made a few of the AE86/T50 quick shift kits and will gear up to mass produce them if enough interest. At this stage i'd only do them on exchange so i can make them fit all the different stick types (T18, corolla, sprinter, celica etc are all diffierent shape sticks). The kit includes a modified stick, spacer plate and longer bolts. I have this in my race Sprinter. I have a few spare sticks that I will make up ready to go, so people dont get left without a car. price will be around $110/kit. email me direct rather than making this thread huge!!. I also have a genuine AE82 TRD quick shift, that is quite complex really and would not be able to be remade easily/cheaply. it is more than just a different stick. I'll investigate further and post a reply to "kingmick" who started this thread. can I also say that the simple MR2 one that just moves the ball pick-up point is not very nice. we have one in a race MR2 (SW20) and its pushes the cable up to a very sharp angle making it stiff to work. it really needs a complete re-design like TRD did in their version.

$110,thats expensive considering the little amount of work involved terry.
boys its no mean feat, really, the only part from a genuine TRD kit that is usable in aussie spec cars(ae82 ae92)is the stick, the spacers are 3 bolt pitch rather then 4.
with the mr2 kit,i am sure its only the height of the front selector mount on the stick,y ou could change this yourself!
as for the ae86 any man and his dog could make a kit for this, all you need is a piece of aluminium about 5/8 thick, cut and shape it the same as the bottom of the gear stick mount, then cut the lower tapered section of the stick where the nylon bush is and add 5/8 of steel rod inbetween where you cut it by a welding process.the only problem with these is i have seen them brake, they are not very reliable.
