Delivering tofu are we? Very Happy

try the ones that do actually clip into the air vents. I've seen them at the markets (parklea etc) at the rice stands and they are quite cheap. Or where else did you want to fit it? Go looking at new cars ans see if one has holders that fit into a din slot. Then order as a new part.

Yeah the air vent ones work alright. Check the length of the "fins" in your vent, though, the cup holder i bought didn't stretch far enough to fit into the RA40 air vents. It's clipped into the front of the tape player now - i knew that 80s tech was good for something Wink

best spot ive found is wedged between the passenger seat and center console...perfect fit for cans, 600ml & maccas medium/large coke...just have to push the belt buckle back towards the rear to give you that little extra room Very Happy

the compartment just rear of the e-brake lever isnt bad, just open the lid and it can hold a 600ml carton of milk easily. just have to drink it down a bit, or it can slush out with heavy cornering.

ive currently got a couple of the air vent ones, worked great in my ae82, but because of the 86s slanted dash, their little arms wont reach now... i might make something to extend the arms if i cant get anything that is made for 86.

im tellin ya someone in japan find up some great cupholders and bring them back, id pay up to $30 for a really good one!

I've seen all these Type R cup holders in cars at work... I think these can be sourced from places like Autobarn, Supercheap and the like...

If you can find a single DIN cup holder setup, go for it... (and tell everyone else where you found it Razz Razz Razz )

I got mine from repco...
$12, just went to the counter and asked for the cupholder that clips onto the airvent,i think they are the Type R ones, but they dont say Type R on them so they dont look like some ricey peice out of a fully honda!
The arms go all the way through and it has little sliding things at the bottom to adjust the angle and add more support, and trust me they dont pop off, even when i wanted to remove it, it took me about 5 mins to get it free! definately wortht the 12 buks, and it fits all drinks, and a large maccas cup with the straw just missing the windscreen!
EVERYONE GO AND BUY ONE NOW!!!
