AE86 Chassis Reinforcements?

Besides the obvious choice of installing a rollcage, anyone attempted other more discrete methods of strengthening and stiffening the AE86's chassis? What are the critical areas to reinforce?
I'm about to do a baremetal chassis spray and would like to have reccomended and essential chassis work done prior to the spray job.
Cheers

Seam, stitch and spot welding is a good way of strengthening a chassis without being obtrusive.

Any specific locations to pay more attention to? I'd reckon the front strut towers need beefing up, the area between the front strut towers and firewall (adding a plate brace?), across the transmission tunnel in the rear foot well (adding U-channel sheetmetal sections?) and inside the front fender arches.

im liking the idea of sprinter-steve's body brace (you'll still have to tak eout the rear seats though) goes straight across from the rear seatbelt latch mounts.

reinforce the firewall to front chassis rail junction. ae86s often com apart there. if its a high mileage car, id be surprised if it hasnt already.
