i think repco make these
and they are better than OEM becuase it has an extra blade on the impeller

is the 4ac water pump the same?
i was thinking the 4age needed a greater capacity water pump since it can rev much more and therefore gets much hotter.

doubtful toyota would waste time making a lower capacity pump for the same series engine

im pretty sure its leaking between the engine and the waterpump. could the leak be caused by overtightening the belt?

it might be just leaking from the o-ring then, the pump itself could still be ok.
when you buy the pump you normaly only get the front half. so you wanna make sure you actualy need it.

i only sold one to a friend for hiw aw11 early this week too, damned if i can remember the exact part #.. Sad

The genuine toyota pumps come with both halves, so you're getting more for your money for a start, & the list price from toyota is $144, but you should be able to pick it up for $97 like I did.

news to me.. ive fitted at least 20 of them by now "shrugs" are you using the rear section of the 4age pump mated to the new front housing? The front section will fit up to ALL rear sections, the only difference is the front bearing size on the rwd unit is stronger ( and a little longer from memory too ) to cater for the extra weight of the clutch fan.. a fwd front unit will not last long ( trust me ive broken them trying to do it cheaply before Smile ) and they can end up cracking the casings
