2005 new import rule ?

ok i've been hearing sum rumours from prietiege motorsport saying that sum thingy caled DOTORS are planning to trash the 15 year old import rule and either have a choice to have a 30+ import rule!!! or a no longer import cars 15 year +. well the point is i always dreamed opf owning a JDM spec 86 and wondering if u blokes actually know whats happenin and give me the dirt thanks

I know that Dept of Heritage and environment brought in a new law for import car and parts which effective does not permit the entry of car with R12 A/C gas. So now the A/C equipment has to be removed and/or rended useless regardless of gas type and an English translated cert has to be issued saying that the A/C system has been removed and if was install, degas in appropiate manner.... ie make it harder for 15 yo vehicle hard to come in + any other import... real crappy law.
