Thermo fans

G'day all
I have a celica with a 1g-gte installed. The conversion was done by a previous owner and they have hooked up the thermo fans to a manual switch.
My preference is to have the factory computer to operate the fans as it is a pain in the proverbial to have to switch them on and off all the time.
Can anyone tell me which pin on the computer operates the fan and if it uses a speed sensor to trigger it or just the fluid temp sensor.
Cheers

I dont know if there is a wire...the supra engine I have had a fan on the crank. You'd have to hook up a thermo switch from jaycar or something.
I just have mine turned on whenever the car is on.

Gold28..
You can purchase the thermo switches from Repco or Auto one.. There about $30.. Then you just set the temperature for it to come on...

I found a pic on the net of the 1g-gte and it has an engine driven fan too. I guess your right about the computer, bugger.

ok now that question is out of the way, heres something thats been concerning me
i have two davies craig fams on the front of my radiator, they are bolted straight through it even. anyways when i put the new radiator in which i plan on getting, how should i mount them? make some custom brackets some how? i dont wanna put bolts straight through the radiator like the car came with, looks dodgy.

Cable ties work well, but you may think they are even more dodgy.
... How did u fit two? I've got one large 16in one that goes inside my shroud where the old fan used to spin.

I just got the longest, thinnest bolts I could and the biggest washers that would fit and just put it straight through. Doesn't look too bad.

I used the spots where the old shroud attached to the radiator. Then got some strips of metal and shaped them up (90degree bend) and a couple of holes for bolts.
This was a Davies Craig 14" , and I used there adjustable switch. It senses from a probe in the top hose, and has a potentiometer to adjust cut in temp.
No bolts through radiator needed.
