My RA23 celica had been sitting around for a while, about 2 months, and i decided to try and start it so i could get it pink sliped before the rego ran out. i had tryed to start it last night. it started spluttered cuched and wouldnt idle. we then try to interface to it with the lappy software with no sucsess as we didnt realise it needed the adaptor. not sure if this had broken it.
Today we tryed starting it again with no success. wont kick over. checked spark, timing, fuel pressure, plugs, sensors.
if we pull the spark plugs out and pur fuel in each cylinder then replace them the car will idle for about 5 secs.
this made us think that there was no fuel, but there is definatly pressure. my thaught are that the injectors arent opening, but we did a crude test with a multi meter and it appeared there was power going to them at the right time.
any ideas would be a great help as i have two weeks until the 3 months is up.
thanks
btw its a MT/LT-4 ECU

u could have old fuel
it goes off in afew weeks if not used
testing injectors for power is one thing
are they triggering
eg gettin puls eon other side not the power side
another thing how good is thw battery
microtechs dont like semi or even a tiny bit flat battery
or even jump starting htem sometimes
get a fully charged battery and try startin it
