if you are going to do 2TG you might as well do a 4AG - IMO a better motor...
a 5k (1498cc?) will bolt in to the mounts and match up to your standard gearbox.

3K, 4K, 5K and 7K are nearly bolt in. just engine mount change and slight difference in extractors due to deck height.
any K gearbox will bolt up to any K engine with the right flywheel/clutch for the gearbox. the T50 will bolt up if you have one of the infamous K to T bellhousings.
the 2T was never released anywhere in a KE10. that only started in the TE20's.
the 2T will fit, but better is the 4AG as it weighs almost the same as a 4K, but is newer etc. other choices known to fit are 12A, 13B, SR20, FJ20. for NSW you can only go 2.1L or 1.7L charged.
if you use a KE30 box, the shifter pokes up thru the auto hole and all you need is the gearbox, a pedal box and a clutch cable, as well as drilling one hole in the firewall (i did that to mine)
you could always just go for a cammed hicomp 4/5K (or turbo) which would be easy to engineer and build...
if you are in sydney, gimme a call and i'll take you for a ride in my KE15 with 3K/4K, 76kw @8000rpm
Cya, Stewart
ps, how fast do you really want to go?
