Ok stand back ppl.....professional TA22 diff remover coming through
bloody hell the number of these frigin diff's I've pulled out.
anyway,
need.
*one hose clamp
*17mm spanner i think
*12mm spanner for the shockies
*10mm spanner i think
*trolly jack makes things easy
jack the car up, take the rear wheels off, crawl undernigh and undo the handbrake cables, put ya hose clamp on and then undo the brake fluid line. undo both shockies on the diff end(much easyier), then put your trolley juck under the center of the diff and take a little bit of weight off, undo the panard rod, and then undow the lower and upper control arms, let the trolly jack down pull the diff out from undernight the car and point and yell at it "BAD DIFF!!!!"
sit down and have a beer to get ready to put the new one in.
I think thats all

A long bit of 2" water pipe is always good to put over the end of a breaker bar for additional leverage.

yeah if I recall righly there is a "T" type join on the diff to allow fluid to go to each side, simply put the clamp on the rubber hose going down to it. oh also I forgot, get a hammer, it feels good to hit things when they don't dso what they are supposed to do

if you cant undo the 10mm fitting on the hose cos its rounding (happens to old lines) use some vise grips to clamp it good and tight and there shouldn't be a problem. other than replacing the fitting.

Thats not the problem! I have the fitting loose but the hose turns with the fitting! And the hose will only turn a few times and thats it! So its not enough to get the fitting out! Is the nut/fitting meant to be loose on the hose so it can undo with the hose turning? If this is the case I might just cut the hose and replace it when the new diff goes in!
Also I'm glad that somebody told me about useing some spring compressers

sorry forgot about the springs
mine just pull out cause they are lowered,
don't worry about spring compressers, just when you put the new diff in leave the panard rod off, put the wheels back on and then lower the car back down, slip the bolt back in for the panard rod and she's bickies.
ok, to save cutting the hose undo it at the top end above where your hose clamp is, then when that end is off, unscrew the other end and then screw the loose pipe back onto the main line to save you loosing brake fluid

I think I might just try a really good pair of vice grips! Failing that I may just get the mobile brake man to do the job cause i'm just a lazy prick that does'nt like hard work

few ways to get around the rounded nut.
Use a pair of vice-grips,
get a file and file the nut back into shape,
use a pipe spanner
or call the mobile guy

Well I think the pipe wrench will be a bit of a tiht fit so I'll pass on that!
The file trick sounds like to much hard work, so that just leaves the vice grips and failing that I'll call the mobile guy!
Either way I'll get the f#*$er off

You can get them twice if you did'nt get a good dose the first time! But if your over 18 and you hav'nt had them I really reccomend getting vaccinated! Trust me, you dont want them like I have them
