It'll fit. I've seen it in one of those Coronas.

Chase down rob_ra40. Your Corona should have the same engine bay as the RA40.

From what I remember, there's nothing major to worry about. Fabricate new engine mounts and modify a mid sump and that's about it really (other than normal things like EFI fuel setup and wiring the whole lot together).

20R has the same ening mounts as the 18R.
So look up the guides on 18R->1G conversions, there are a few of them.

The only bit youll have to work out is what to do with the gbox/bellhousing.

Stupid American or not, one google search brought up these 3 pages - read them and learn.

Start with the mounts on the Corona, see what you need to fit the 1G engine, then modify the brackets on the 1G engine itself to suit.
Shifter location.....W55,57,58 g/boxes come with different shifter locations, see if what you have suits, if it is too long or too short you most likely can sell / swap your selector fork and housing for one that does come through the existing hole in the tranny tunnel.
You won't find anyone in AUS who has done this on a 20R Corona as this motor never came to this country in that car.
So, "SEARCH" read, and look around.
Contrary to most people's opinion, this forum does not contain experts on every single model and engine swap other people are considering doing.
