Any possibility of getting the engine sent to adelaide, if properly funded for the extra time and hassle?
What is it missing to get it running? or is it pretty much ready to bolt up and get driving?

hmm dunno if you know this and may not be a very suitable price but SSS automotive are selling the 18-GEU from $1000 minus compter and eveything just motor.

ahh this is a classic thread restored from ages ago.
yes after about that whole year of spending $$ and slowly putting the celica together with all new bits, including juzzo's old motor- slightly reconditioned, it is finally on the road and wearing itself in nicely.. just needs a good stereo, fresh paint, + a couple of other things and i'll be happy for a while.. well until the boost-bug comes along and hits when i have some money to play with..
Hey Juzzo, did you know the motor had smallish-domed pistions in it? they could be the pistons from an -88253 8.7:1 motor instead of the even lower -88270 8.3:1..
The engine is sounding and feeling good, got the exhaist finished up the other day and now the ra28 is a dream to drive  .. it got a little taste of some of my mates AVGAS the other day mixed in 50/50 with the pulp in my tank already, which was interesting.. 
i need to get some updated photos of it out on the road and host them up, but i dont have any web space to host them from..
