will the $114 whiteline adjustable panhard rod affect the handling of my car? will it stop the axle from moving from side to side?
thanks

that depends on your ride height, the mounting positions of the rod etc etc...
it's a geometry thing, not an adjustability problem.. how much does it move now?
to STOP it moving side to side.. just fit a Watts link

well the car is "dumped to the weeds" but im having no problems with the wheels/axle being too far to one side. just thought it might have some sort of advantage.

it's advantage is that it's adjustable in length, to adjust the location of the diff (as you should already know)
if the current one is the correct length, i think it's feckin pointless buying an adjustable one to be the same length..
unless of course it is the BLING factor??
panhard rods affect handling. of course. is yours the correct length now?

bah, I just measured the gap on each side and adjusted it so that there was an equal amount on each side wasn't exactly rocket science, and it didn't take for ever....
that might have just been luck on my behalf tho
Cheers

yes.. if your diff's off to the side, then it won't turn both left and right evenly.
It's worth doing.
And it's a set and leave type deal..... lower car to desired height, set it.... done.

If your not having problems with your tyres rubbing guards or drive shaft hitting one side of the tunnel then it is not worth placing such an item on your car. Yes having an off-centre diff will effect the cars handling characteristics, but unless you put the car on a track, you should not be doing those sorts of speeds to find out the handiling difference on the street ;)lol.

the stiffer bushes that come with the panhard bar should make your rear end feel a bit more solid. also its alot heavier built, so it should be stiffer. i noticed a slight differance in rear end feel when i fitted one to my last sprinter. as far as ajusting, its really easy to do, and doesnt take long at all, and once its done, its done.
