XYGTHO-392hp or 291KW
BAGTP-390hp or 290KW
BAXR^ TURBO-240KW BUT it is quicker both on the straight line and around the track than the GT's therefore is faster than both GT's although it is amazing that a 1971 car is still as quick as todays cars . . . 33 years on . . . a 3rd of a decade! and what's even more scary is the fact that the XAGTHO PHASE4 was set to chew up the PHASE3's. can you just imagine where motoring would be today if they were allowed to produce this vehicle!? stupid "supercar scandal" and what's even better is that fact that the XYGTHO PHASE 3 is worth more than the newbies.

i guess this thred should have stopped at the RA65, the comparison of the ST162 to the TA22 is just wrong, its old vs start of the FWD revolution.

How is that un-fair? People who like FWD / AWD or newer cars will chose ST162/165s. People who like to be oldschool and RWD will chose the others. Where is it not fair?

the 165 I voted for because it is the most affordable 4wd, super tough turbo, and it looks like my car therefore must be the best
I can only dream of a 205

Excuse me, sir, but the best Silly Car ever built was the TA64.
It was so powerful that people needed coconut-sized cojones to drive them, and they only had one kidney (the other one was mashed into a little blob the first time they accelerated in the TA64).
4WD is for people too scared to drive a Real Man's Car(TM).
/me waits for the fireworks.

AH the TA65 how could I have forgotten!
I don't actually think it looked THAT bad.. i got used to it, "driving" it in Rally Sport 2 lol, sooo realistic I am sure lol
anywho, despite the fact that it was a good car it didn't quite cut it, only really performing (and BOY did it perform) in africa
the 205 was much more proven I think
plus the 205 is 4wd

Maybe on the pikes peak special versions, but I don't think the world rally championship versions or the rally raid versions saw more than about 500hp....
Ahh the 'whistling pig' as TTE dubbed it - it could only win on events where the less parts in a car there were to break, the better
The ST165 is a beast, but it's completely out of place in that poll.

i know for a fact the last evolution of the rs200 was 700 HP +
i know this because one of the cosworth engineers who put together the package is currently building up my 3sgte , and is one of the only " civilians " ever to be taken for a spin in one at cosworths old facility in england
he said it was the scariest ride he's EVER gone on Anyway - back to the point at hand

This poll is ghey...I wonder how many neddies you could get from a 2ZZ-GTE if you turbo converted it.
I think one HP in england is equivalent to about 0.02kW in the rest of the world, I've heard some really off figures quoted on the group B cars, I'm pretty sure the Audi Quattro on most events had about 450-500hp even in the very last spec. If the RS200 was in anyway putting out 700hp on a rally, then it was seriously under-performing on the stages, the drivers weren't half-rate either. I would pitch it at about 500hp during a rally.

Im surprised this thread hasn't been flooded with st162 owners (kinda good thing) until I arrived Nah i might leave this thread anyway (gheyness factor 100%), not that it really counts but I reckon the TA22, st162/5.
