apart from the cams themselves, are there any differences between VVTi and non VVTi 2jzgte heads? are the buckets/springs/valves the same and interchangeable?

Valves are the same
Lifters are the same
Shims are different
Springs are the same
Chambers look visually the same so they should be very similiar.
Intake ports are different, exhaust ports are the same.

what is different about the shims?
any idea if a kit of shim-under-bucket lifters etc that are from a non VVTi head would fit in a VVTi head?
