Hey, I am after the original owner of the MR 20V Sprinter, I was just going through some old mags and stumbled across the article on the car, and it has powerwindows!
I just want to get in contact with him to find out where he got them from and how well they work!
Can someone please pass me on some contact details for him?

Yeah, haven't heard from him in a long time...
Power windows aren't that hard to do. Just buy a kit and follow the instructions.

I was thinkin that but have read some posts of people saying that they had to get special crap cause normal kits were too weak to lift the big ass glass??

I'm sure Hadyn still lurks around these forums somewhere - he sold the AE86 but later acquired a T18 as a budget car after he got married if I do remember ...
Search the forums and you should be able to find his threads and drop him an email then ...

The power mirrors for 86's. Where was the switch located and what did the inside corner panel triangle look like, where u have teh adjusting lever on the manual ones?

The GT Apex came with power windows as an option didn't it? Does Toyota still make the parts for 'em?

Ah smart idea, never thought bout that.
Funnily enough somewhere there is always BRAND NEW PARTS even for Toyotas made in 83 (I just got a brand new top drivers side door hinge after trying to get a good 2nd hand one failing).
So part numbers? For the power option components.... such as windows or mirrors? Anyone?

Are you sure he had power windows. I have been in his car and it didn't have power windows.

i recall a blue ae86 in melbourne with power windows... dark blue... anyone know the owner?
i remember it being sold a while ago so thats how i remember it having power windows
i recently rang electic life about their power windows kit and they said to me that their kits wouldn't be strong enough and would die out in a year or two... so they refused to do ae86's...
i say group buy of ae86 window kits from japan!

Yeah I think the blue sprinter was sold to a mate up here in Sydney and yes it did have power windows, power steering and I think power mirrows however I think they were stock items on that car. I am sure you would be able to hook a power window set up on your car. My mate did it. He went to I think Into Sound in Bondi Junction in Sydney to do it and it works fine

Hey guys,
I left Haydn a PM and he has replied...
He told me that the power windows kit was made by a company called Spal, and he got them from a place called Cronulla Car Sound at Kirawee, and they installed them for him.
He couldn't remember how much it cost him, but he gave ma a phone number...
