clutch for 18RG

What would be a good clutch for an 18RG (and W50)? Ive done some searching and reading and found that the std (18RC) clutch would probably not be good enough. Ive found contradicting info on RPM clutches. Any suggestions?
Can I just pick a "heavy duty RPM clutch" up at Repco and expect it to fit?
Thanks.

Talk to a clutch specialist and get them to build a clutch to your requirements. There probably isn't much you can buy "off the shelf" to do what you want.

Thanks guys, I'll contact Direct Clutch tomorrow and I will try to find a clutch place closer to home as well, cos I'll need to have my flywheel machined too.
How much weight can I take off and still have a good daily driver?

how much power you got. Standard 18rc clutch should handle 150 hp easily.

I'm hoping for 150 hp, just a std. 18RG with 40mm Solexes and extractors. Nothing spectacular.

my turbo 18R has a std clutch but a pressure plate with a lot more clamping pressure.
seems to have worked so far (can't say the same about other motor parts).
the pressure plate came from direct clutch i think - i got it thru budget auto parts @ oxley.

AFAIK the 18RG originally came with 40mm solexes. According to the Toysport site you only need 44's when it is bored.

I want a new clutch anyway, as I am replacing engine and box. Might as well get it done, so I don't have to take everyting apart again when the clutch needs replacement.
So I have been asking around and Repco told me a std clutch for the RA23 is $166 (PBR) and a heavy duty one would be $195 (RPM). I also rang a clutch&brake place and they quoted $230 for a Exedy Daikon, which according to him has 58% more pressure than the std RA23 clutch and it should fit in without mods.
I am tempted to go for the last option, as the difference is only $64. Does anyone have experience with Exedy Daikon? Are they any good? Does the price sound reasonable?

I have the h/d excedy diakin. Its in a 18rgeu power rt40, and with the ra63 w55 slave and standard master it feels good, not to heavy either. Was lucky with the clutch as it was basically brand new and came in the wreck I brought for $250 so cant complain. Have only had a little drive belt i like it and no sign of slippage (stock 18rgeu), but it took a bit of punishment (compulsary stage 1project completion burnouts.... ) with no ill effects.
Id say go tyhe h/d
