I have heard when u lower the car, should use adjustable pan-rod to level out the diff back to centre, if you dont use one is it that detrimental?

Yes it's theoretically bad but 95% of people won't even notice it. The effect is pretty small and almost negligible on the street. Race car is a different story of course.

if your car is fairly low you should notice the left rear wheel is closer to the guard than the rear right

Is it possible to move/foul an axle oil seal due to having an off centre diff from a low car?

Nope axle seals should not be affected..

You are changing the angle of the tailshaft uni's, more chance of one of your wheels scrubing the guard, springs not lining up between the lower and upper lands. Mainly stuff like that.

But as its probably only a few mm out those problems mentioned above might be quite minimal.

Not sure if you'd feel the difference in the seat of your pants?

I put a F series diff in my RA28 and as all the mounts had been cut off and welded etc thought it'd be best to put an adjustable panhard rod on just so I could make sure it sat where it should.

Cheers
Joel

Ah that is what I needed to hear Norbie. Will change but just means I can buy it a lil later down the track. Not a low low person, just currently it looks like it is floating and needs suspension overhaul anyways.
