Just curious if anyone has some suggestions or even pics of other peoples dash conversions in MA61s. I really dislike the digi dash and the analogue dash that came in MA61s looks really cheap to me so im after somthing else? any ideas?
(and yeah ive seen norbies, not bad, but yeah the auto thingy in there doesnt really do it for me)

i guess theres the ra60/sa63/ra65 style dash? like a analogue ma61 dash, but without the dodgy mph reading.. which i agree, makes it look like shit

michael, im 90% through the wiring if youre interested
the analogue dash i have is out of a ma63, 180kmh, 8000rpm, oil pres, water temp, fuel and 'boost' gauges. speedo on right, tach on left.
the 'final frontier' ive yet to look at is the tach, and reducing the ma61's 'mega-pin' plug down to the 3pin input on this dash. everything else seems pretty simple.
as for the original question... BEWARE- most ma61 analogue dashes are out of RHD vehicles, and the speedo input cable enters in the wrong spot for our LHD dash assembly
cheers

The one that I have is from JCMF and is reportedly from a Singaporean MA61, so is a RHD 6 cyl I'll check what mine has, but I don't have a boost guage, but I have some decent HKS guages for Boost, EGT and oil pressure to take care of those things.

What makes it harder for me (apart from being a mechanical person who hates electrics) is that the wiring diagrams are drawn differently in the TRSM.
I have scored spare plugs from a RA60 wiring harness so that I can plug into the new dash. I'll PM you to sort out a sweetener
Cheers

PS The tailshaft and exhaust are reconnected and the clutch bled, just need to adjust the clutch rod. Finish the rear shocks and it can be back on deck, and then comes the brake lines and were almost done

Sorry to say but the RA60 analogue dash looks kinda crappy to me anyway (and the supra version is just a fancier looking one) so im after something else all together. The main thing im after is somthing thats of similar shape that wont take a rocket scientist to adapt.

Nope, thats my RA60, aside from the fact that mine has a oil light instead of a gauge, and the 5500rpm redline, it was the same though. Pretty sure it went to 220kph as well right?
The last MA63 gauge I saw was digital, and had a digital boost gauge above the tacho.
My GA61 dash (although I think it's from a 1GGE version) is digital, and has a 7200rpm redline and 7700rpm cutout marked on it, with a check engine light and a "speed" light that comes on above 100kph.

I am drawing a very long bow from CrUZida's avatar
After a major m/bike accident which was around the time that they started testing blood for AIDS (I needed about 6 pints), I used to joke that "I had AIDS, but I'm cured now. Honest !!"
Seemed funny at the time

Digital is kinda cool, but REALLY annoying when the sun glares in on it, and instantly makes your speedo invisible .

LOL Evil.
I think you should see about getting some indevidual gauges, and get them installed in a fabricated plastic panel. That way you could design it however you liked.

I've used both, and I like both of them. The digital is *cooler* than the analog, but has problems with glare. The analog works all the time, but doesn't look as cool.
A new set of analog gauges would look schmick though

Perhaps the dash conversion you are looking for is as Blacksupra said, the MA70 dash which fits in without a world of difficulty, I have personally seen the hornsby MA61 with MA70 dash installed, It looks heaps better but the guy has had nothing but issues with wiring, and good luck with climate control.......

It looks like the MA61 digital dash, only it has a "speed" light which comes on above 100kph, and it had the yellow "redline" at 7200rpm and the red "redline" at 7700rpm.
