Had an accident last night on the way back from wollongong Crying or Very Sad
Cops were pulling people over and some bloke just swerved in front of meand stopped for some weird fukin reason Confused so i ran up his arse at like 60km/h. Cops saw it and said it was his fault so that's sweet; coz he stopped for no reason Evil or Very Mad

Now the beautiful ae82 is off the road...not sure if i want to buy another, i'll probably take it and repair it myself or something. It's insured for $4000 but its in heaps good condition and low km's(120000). Should i take the money or are these things easy to fix (engine)?
Damage: Lights, radiator, k&n air filter things, distributor(or something like that) and the bonnet.

How much would a distributor cost, anyone?

Thanx.

You are both the unluckiest and luckiest person both at the same time. Shocked

Unlucky in that you wrote off your car but fucken lucky that the cops saw the accident. Almost no-one gets absolved of blame when they run up the back of someone and there's no better witness than a cop or multiple cops.

I feel your pain.

Pics would make the story complete. Smile

as simdog said man, you are one lucky man in a bad situation.
get quotes for the repairs/parts. if the car is declared a write off and you can fix it cheaply buy the wreck and fix it with some of the money from the payout.

once fixed you could sell it and end up on top financially Very Happy

Sorry guys, i couldnt get pics. I didnt have a camera on me when it happened and the place is like 1:30 from my place so i'll post them up if i manage to get them. The bonnet isnt too bad, its a bit curved up, most of the impact went into the radiator and all that stuff pu front.

How much do wrecks usually sell for?

Thanx.
