WTD: MA61 Supra Heater Core Fri, 25 June 2004 03:29 Go to next message
Just when i thought it woz fixed.. nope, this car luvs to break the most expensive parts. My heater core is rooted and so my front cabin is soaked in coolant. I've since by passed the heater so it duzn't leak anymore. Most of the dash is out and I still can't get the heater core out. Sad
New from Toyota i've been quoted $595 + hoses
are these fixable or duz anyone have one laying around that I could buy from them? Or duz anyone know if a Cressida or Celica of the same year would be the same?
Is kinda cold at the moment with no heater.

Any help guys is much appreciated,

Thanks,

Scott in Brisbane

Get it fixed.

Second hand one will only cause the same issue later on.

Doubtfull that Cressida ones are the same (mx62 anyway from my experience), any chance of taking a pic of it, if so I might be able to confirm that a MX62 one will not fit and I also have an SA63 one that I can check for you as well.

Cheers

CORONA

i cant remember the specific model, but there is a corona (xt130??) core that you can buy off the shelf that is exactly the same as the ma61, but with 1 hose outlet pointed in the wrong direction - any rad shop can turn it around 180deg for SFA. its the ONLY core that will fit - and m61 cores are NOT available.

expect to pay $100-110

cheers
ed
