twincam OiL light Sat, 26 June 2004 08:54 Go to next message
just wondering.

in the car that im about to buy from another member on the forums, when the accelerator is hit, the OIL light slowly glows untill its on, then once you take ur foot off it, the light fades away again?

does anyone else have this problem?
im pretty sure its just a wiring fault, but im worried that it could be that the Oil is loosing pressure when the the engine REV's, which isnt good!!!

any ideas?

it might have a sensor for an oil gauge
and it has an oil light in the dash

check the oil sender

it shouls be small with big nut round the body

not big round cylinder thingy thats for oil gauge

what engine is in it

if its a 20v then usually mechanics or person doin conversion
forget to change the senders over

very common problem which takes ages to change sender
