Hi all, I have recently bought a 1969 ke10 corolla from a guy perth. a mate of mine found out & has helped me sort everything out, Its at the wharf & is leaving for Auckland, new zealand on the 1st July,so its all very exciting for me, cant wait to get it here.
But one thing im unsure of is, do i have to deregister the car is Aussie? My mate thats in perth is a kiwi, so hes not sure on the aussie legal requirements etc. but thinks it may have to be deregistered or i could get a fine? can anyone please give me any info on this at all.

if you de-register it you'll get money back based on the number of months of rego it has left.
The only reason the (sydney) RTA gets shitty is if you keep their number plates.
