Front end noise after highspeed braking

Hey guys
I tried to stop real quick today and the brakes locked up cause very huge tyre smoke (80kms, 4th gear)
Now theres front end noise.. sort of like a wheel bearing noise but it doesnt get louder as you drive faster.
it still drives the same but just the noise is pretty annoying. could it be the tyres that are shot? or would it be harm to the suspension area..
just wondering what your thoughts are. it doesnt pulse when applying brakes so the disc's are still ok.. but could the pads be shot?

you've quite possibly flatspotted the tyres and now you've got a vibration.
cure? drop a burnout and round them again

hmmm I dunno... if your vehicle has four wheel discs and you've flat-spotted your tyres then all four tyres will be damaged. The front tyres would likely be worst as over 50% of a cars weight is generally in the front. Doing a burn out or two may fix up your rear tyres but I can't see that fixing your front tyres unless you rotate the tyres after you've smoked them up...
Personally I don't think smoking up your tyres sounds like a great idea. Burn outs just put stress on your diff. I think your problem is more likely to be something else, maybe a suspension issue... heavy braking will put a lot of stress on your front shocks. Don't take my word for it though I'm not even an amateur with these things

its quite definately flat spot
easiest way to get rid of that is a burnout or depending how you normally drive then put up with it for a month or so till the tyres wear out a bit more and even back out
otherwise you can jsut change the front 2 tyres. i would go for the burnout cause its easy, cheap and FUN

what type of tyres you go on it dude? if they are yokos it would be understandable to flat spot them to the point where it might make a difference, however i would have to agree i don't believe that this is your problem, check out you tred on the tyres around the whole tyre and let us know how they are, i would think that they would have a noticable flat spot for it to be making noise

yeah true that, well hopefully the car will be right when you change your tyres over, needless to say you might not break so hard next time.
