Just wondering how many here have had a 4age do their head gasket, cause I have had 3 friends with AE82 rollas, and funny enough they all did their head gaskets at 350,000kms, is this a common trait of the 4age or can they go longer?
Also mine currently has 230,000km on the clock it's blowing some white smoke, I was think ing head gasket gone, but the bubble test is negative anf there is no oil and water mixing, So I was told it could be the valve stem seals? how does that sound? I plan to try and do a compression test asap, that should hopefully tell me what may be wrong.

it would be either your valve atem seals or rings.
if the smoke is mainly apparent after you leave it idleing for a long time or when the manifold is under high vacuum, then its most likely your stem seals.
