What happens When a 02 Magna meets 83 Crown. Magna doing 70kph Crown 0kph Mon, 28 June 2004 23:10 Go to next message
This is what happened to my Mums 83 MS112. Got re ended on Joesph street at Rockwood. I was just sitting there at a red light and next second there was a bang and the boot was in the rear view mirror.

Got hit by a old guy from Queensland in a budjet rental car. As the title Of the thread says I wasn't moving and he was going quick.

He hit me so hard that the ashtray under the radio opened, and the seat reclined 4 notches. I had a saw neck for a few days but was other wise un injured.

Car was a write off and i probably did mum an dad a favor. The 5ME was dead and using all the vital fluids and it was insured for way more that what we could of sold it for.

The body work was rubbing against the tyre!!

Keep in mind that the exhaust would normally be about a foot or 2 from the ground not 2 inches.

That box for that socket set was stuffed and those are pics of the bent metal around the spare wheel where it all got bent.

These are merged from two pics taken from the roof line. Look as the back of the car disappears and becomes mashed. Keep in mind that it is a square car.

The ultimate bent metal

All these pics where taken with my phone camera thats why they aren't the best.

HOLY CRAP Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked
If that was done by a Magna I'd hate to see if I actually wore the landrover that I dodged on Saturday night,
me slowing down to turn into my drive way, look up, landrover comming fast up behind me with hazards on so i pull in alot quicker than normal and scraped the brick wall,,, thankfully just a few nasty scratches and a bit of a dint. Crying or Very Sad

If it was a newer car, you wouldn't be able to tell the tale... Hope you are ok after the hit...

I'm fine just had a sore neck for a few days.

Yeah should of got pics of the magna. It too would of been a write off. He had trouble opening both front doors, I rekon the whole front end moved accross about an Inch or so and it dropped all its coolant in the first 30 secs
