Hey has anyone got any experience wiring up a (non-rice) aftermarket tacho on a ma61 5MGE - preferably in a way so that the original digi dash still works?
I cant see the bar graph stupid tacho because of a smaller than standard steering wheel...cheers..

I've wired up a small autometer tacho on my mk2, it's for a 7m-gte though. The wiring itself was extremely simple, hardest part was mounting it. I mounted it under the dash cover, pretty much in front of the tacho section of the digi-dash. It doesn't obscure anything but the tacho on the dash, and I was able to mount it using one of the dash cover mounting screws. See pic below:
