Tailshaft differences

Righty-o, this is the story:
I'll be changing my diff soon, and along with that I'll need to be modifying my tailshaft to accommodate the new diff. Am hoping to get it all done by the end of next week, so wheels need to start turning
Anyway, at the moment I'm running a Celica TA22 T50 gearbox, which has the same output spline as the K40/K50 gearboxes so I'm using the stock Corolla KE35 tailshaft. When I change the diff, I'm going to be *hopefully - I need to find one first!* also changing gearboxes to the AE86 T50 gearbox which will hopefully solve my never ending gearbox woes... The AE86 T50 has a different output spline, so I will need the matching yoke (?) to fit...
Question is:
Can I just swap the yoke on the tailshafts? Or are they different enough that I will actually need to be modifying an AE86/AE71 tailshaft instead?
Does anyone have one of these I could buy?
Thanks

you wont be able to swap the yokes, the AE86 is a welded in type which is unreapirable/rebuildable i think the ta22 might be rebuildable though??
you will also have to watch the shaft lengths if you swap the halves over, not to mention balancing.. try and take note of where the balancing blocks are on each shaft comparatively and when you swap them over try and get the balancing blocks in the same orientation.
then once its in check the shaft at full compression on suspension to make sure its not going to push thru the end of the box.

Yup, will have to shorten the tailshaft to accomodate the bigger diff, that's been taken into account. I've got the rear half of the RA28 tailshaft so have the yoke and pinion for that end, now I need the gearbox end. I've located one, but it's only the front bit (not complete tailshaft) so seeing as it's not serviceable I guess I'll need to cut and shut both ends of my Corolla tailshaft to get it right... Unless I can find a complete AE71/86 tailshaft?
I suppose might be a good idea to try to locate an AE71/86 T50 before I do all of this, have been looking for ages but can't find any for any reasonable amount of money! I guess doesn't help that it's in high demand and not-so-high availability...
