AE86 Konig Rewind **** SOLD **** <pending payment> Wed, 30 June 2004 10:58 Go to next message
Dunno whether to sell or not - if the right price comes up, I may just part with them so make an offer however the more I look at them, I am so tempted to just fit them. Very Happy

Brand new and still in wrapping.

Otherwise by the time I save up for another set of 185/60/14 tyres, they'll be going on either the Panda or project AE86 then ...

Pics of only one rim however there are 4 in all.

Feel free to PM me if you'd like to make an offer.

Cheers!

Do you mean 14x7 and 14x9 or 14x7 for all four wheels.

For all interested, I'll probably part with the wheels to the highest offer above $900.

Can arrange transport on the east side of Australia for an extra $100 if you can't be bothered finding your own courier.

There are 4 wheels, each are 14x7. The offset is -9 so this means it comes right out to the guard rather than sit inwards.

To be safe, you will have to run rubber no larger than 185/60/14's on these to stop it from scrubbing and provided you haven't lowered your car ridiculously.

Otherwise, you should still be able to fit them with bigger rubber or lots of lowering if you have rolled your guards or can adjust suspension by whacking in some negative camber at the front.

I don't believe the rear has as much issues as the front. Weight of each alloy is 13.3lbs

Thanks Garth for the pics.

185 seems awefully narrow on a 7" rim... I have 205s on mine and they have a straight sidewall... yours seem to go inwards.

We're not talking Celica's here but AE86's ... Very Happy

185/60/14's is the perfect tyre fit for a 14x7 rim on an AE86, just like 195/50/15's for 15" rims.

I'm currently running the same tyres on my 14x7 rims and won't consider any other tyre size. Smile

I meant 185s on a 14x7" rim, regardless of car. Thought 195 was about the absolute narrowest on a 7" rim... but that's with a bigger profile, too. Perhaps that has something to do with it, 185/60s are a fairly low profile and perhaps you can get away with being narrower. I'm all for less sidewall flex.

BTW love the rims, exactly my kind of rim. Who's is the ae86 in the pics?

Looks like the rims are gone boys!

And yes - they are rims from a yankee car.

Ae95, dunno if you're trying to stir things up but obviously you've never imported parts into Australia before and never have dealt with customs before.

If you're thinking about going by surface mail, well ... let's just say I stopped going by this method a long time ago having had a bad experience or two - there's no tracking available and Aussie Post's service is just like the ATO.

Cheers all!
