Cool chin up micheal Cool

debt - I thought that was part of the fun of doin up cars!!!

Seriously, your better off working hard at your rolla than gettig some huge loan for some new/ newish car thats gonna lose most of its value within the first 2 weeks Laughing

Plus - Old Toyota's rule anyway!

By the way, our KE20 got registered today! Finally!

Don't give up on it Micheal. If you give up on it you'll regret it and I know this first hand.

I started doing up an LJ torana when I was 17. I sold it unfinished about 10 years later for $1500. I added up the receipts I had for it just before I sold it and it came to about $10k. I still wish I had pulled my finger out and finished it instead of letting it sit there. It would have been a great little car.

I wont let that happen with my corolla ( well I bloody hope I don't Razz )

Stick with it mate, it'll be worth it.

Hi Guys,

Got the KE20 registered yesterday (finally), and thought I had better insure the thing third party at least (just in case).

That was until GIO gave me a quote on Full Comprehensive "classic car" insurance (car more than 30 years old)

Check out the price - $46-20 - FOR THE YEAR! Shocked

Is that the cheapest insurance anybody has ever heard of?

Is that $46.20 as in forty six dollars and twenty cents?
If so there must be some mistake or is that per month.
Even if it's per month it is still cheap.

Yes, thats forty six dollars and twenty cents for the year! Only one full annual payment of $46.20!

Trust me, I almost fell off my chair and dropped the phone when they told me!

By the way, that was for an agreed value of $2500, as I didn't want to pay too much for insurance. (until I found out how cheap it was!)

Are there any limitations on the insurance as in can only use the car for club runs or is it insured for general use.

I have never heard of car insurance being so cheap Shocked .

That price is for full private use, with no club membership!

If I was in a car club, it would be cheaper! Shocked

Yeah it is nice, i'll take another pic of the connections for you guys.
Brad i'll probably put it in the boot. The ideal place i guess.
So if anyone needs a surge tank go to Bonds Roll bars in Regents Park. Just bring them the design of what you want and dimensions and they will give you a price.

I'd have no chance of keeping up with the KE20 - I used to have a BMX with wider tyres than my Rolla! Laughing

By the way Micheal - look after those Mazda rims that are still on the car! Laughing

Yeah i was very impressed, the ye old 4k did me proud. Although i was pushing it to the limit. It was hardly every revving under 5k revs!!!. Yeah i am Very Happy . if there isn't much tread on the rear you can have them for $20. They will be taking up precious space in the garage. Plus i have another 4 sets of wheels Cool .
All i need now is some stiff rear suspension and the 4age in and it should go quite well.
I am going for another national park run next week, i am looking forward to it.

That sucks dude. I had a bit of an acco on Friday night, I was down at Mt kiera going for a drive with a few mates. Got to this corner which i thought opened up, but instead it got sharp and wet. I was going in to about 70k's(No road signs around) hit the corner, i saw that it got sharper tried to slow down with out locking and the rear(with stock suspension and cheese cutters on the back) looped round spinning me into a guard rail at about 50-60k's!! Then luckily it pushed me back onto the road instead of spinning me again.
Here is the only damage thankfully:

It was the hardest sounding impact!! I thought i had done sooo much more damage. So i got out and had a look only to see just that little dent!! THANKFULLY!!!!!
I went driving with a r31 gts skyline, gz20 soarer, 16v ae86, Beau Yates' ae86 and my yellow beast. I did alright to keep up to.

Easily fixable with a bit of loving with a hammer. And i got another light so its alright. The only thing i dont have is the light surround....
Yeah my conversion is coming along. I think i have got everything now so i am just saving up some incase-something-goes-wrong money.
Definately start June 25th.
