does anyone know how to stop the k's going up on the trip meter in a corona. i know it sounds dodgy but my parents don't want me driving my car while they are away and have taken note of how many k's it's done. so i'm in a lil bit of a pickle.

If its a new corona, you might have ecu issues if the speedo isnt working, but hey, its a risk for you to take.

And trust me, they will know, even if yuo just take the car aruond the block.

you have to ask permission to drive you own bloody car? huh?

is this forum actually boostcruising.com in disguise? has the average age of forum members dropped to 15 without me knowing?

jeesh...you people make me feel so bloody old when i trip over this kind of stuff...

</rant>

advice to little grasshopper: tell dad to fuck off, it's your own car and you are the one responsible for it.

hahahaha, i have to say my car is still under daddy's name, he just don't have the keys to her Smile that and hes too simple to work my alarm properly, last time he got hold of my keys he set my alarm off and then woke me up to turn it off. it was pretty funny, but i was pretty tired at the time.

The insurance is in there name and if i do shit they don't like they will make me put the insurance in my name. and quite frankly although it's only a corona i don't want to have to pay the extra money.

but yeah it has worked quite nicely so thanks guys

I hope that you are a nominated driver in that car, otherwise just tell us where you are driving around in a car that you are not insured to drive so I can get my wife and kids safely out of your way.

I'm with Cool1, disconnect the speedo cable from either the transmission or the instrument cluster. Note: This will also stop your speedo from working!
