1J water pump connections?

I have a new Soarer water pump (non-hydraulic fan type) installed on my 1J (bought it like that). The trouble is I have one too many pipes in/out of it. It is almost like there is a spare outlet.
In the picture below can anyone tell me:
a) is it an inlet or outlet?
b) what does it normally feed in a Soarer?
c) is it ok for me to just block it off?
Thanks
Peter

I'll take a picture of mine, it is the same as yours. I think the outlet you are worried about isn't in use on mine either.

I don't know which water pump I have but I know mine doesn't have that hole.
I don't have the standard fan though if that matters.

Chris,
You might have the same as me - electric fan/s and JZX90 pump with a short recirculating hose instead of the Chaser hydro fan. When my pump dies its natural death, I'll switch over to the Soarer pump like Peter has.
Doesn't anyone have a diagram or idea where Peter's pipe is supposed to hook up? Where did all the Soarer guys go?
Justin

Thanks Manny,
so are you saying I should stick a piece of hose on it with a drain tap on the end?
BTW - the link you posted isn't working atm. I'll have look later.
Thanks
Peter

No tap on the end, just an open ended drain hose.
The link works fine for me, but I am a registered member..
Copy and paste from the link on TIF -
"Until the lady noticed the part number for the little pipe i have marked red above. Well if you look carefully at that diagram you'l notice that the part no. for that pipe starts with *1 ?????-?????. Well that solved the problem. Any numbers that start with *1 are applicable to the later models, in this case 95/06 onwards. If you look to the right of that pipe you'l notice 2 half written part no.s that are underlined. Well they explain what the numbers mean. Any part no's starting with *1 are 95/06 onwards, and any starting with *2 are 96/08 onwards.
So the pump seemed wrong.. until i got hold of a guy who is probably more of an expert on Lexus/Toyota's than Mr T himself. He said that the pump WAS right.. just an updated version. The older versions without this pipe, as fitted to my car now used to squirt water on the belts and then the rest of the engine when 1 of the seals inside used to burst. Looking at the state of my engine he's 120% right. I have water marks sprayed ever where in my engine. Well the front part anyway.... like the water has been dripping onto the belts and then been sprayed everywhere via them. With the new pump if the seal goes then the water simply comes down to this pipe and then straight down to the engine gaurd at the bottom, as Andy stated earlier."

Manny,
thanks mate I'll whack a little bit of pipe on it (enough to keep any drainage away from the belts).
The link works for me now as well!
