I need to buy a book that tells me what things are under the bonnet of my corolla, tells me all the technical data and how to troubleshoot/test something, etc... I was thinking of the Gregory's Corolla manual or something similar. Can any one advise me of a book thats worth buying?

Thankyou

Ive got the gregory's book, number 239, its good but it doesnt cover the twin cam engine. also its quite vague in some areas. i have just quickly skimmed a few other books i think haines was one and it covered all the engines and seemed to have a lot more techinical stuff in it. id suggest looking at a few different books and choosing from there.

The Max Ellery book is good, but can be a bit lacking in some areas of the AE82 Corolla. It covers most things for the AE82, AE92 and AE101 (from memory).

Bout $40 from most places i think, but itdoes cover the twin cam engines.

Grega, where did you get that AE92 Manual??? What does it have on the cover??? I have photocopied some of the 4AFE/GE manual from work... It has a blue and white cover and covers these two motors in great depth... Printing date was like 1989... Toyota can't source them anymore so where the hell did you get yours??? What is the name of it aswell - Like what brand???
