engine shaking (4afe)

i got a ae95 with a stock 4afe, until yesterday it was running smooth, now it shakes when accelerating/understress (ie. 40km/h on 4th gr)???!?!?!?!?! but dont shaking when going slow or engine braking...
any ideas? or am i doomed to buy a 4age and gearbox

donno, was running fine, then now its gone all gay.
might be the clutch, but it dont shake when down gearing

is it only around that speed, or through the whole lot? if its throughout the whole time it sounds like an ignition problem.

yea the on every gear on any speed
i just press the accelerator down and it shakes, even on 2000rpms so any heavy or medium acceleration it shakes, but ill go 2 a mech 2morow
any idea how much its ganna cost?

cost? depends on whats wrong. without being there and driving it its hard to diagnose. Maybe your in a high gear doing a low speed and the engine is on the verge of stalling. ie. 40km/hr in 4th.

ok.
-you need to check things like if all the spark plug leads are on the plugs and on the distributor cap.
-look for any obvious electrical plugs that have come loose.
-maybe change spark plugs if they are old
-check connections going into distributor
-check that all the plugs that attach to the fuel injectors are secure.
if that doesnt fix it then you should take it to a mechanic or some one whos knows their stuff. im a mechanic myself....those are the things id look at first

i've been told the 4age conversion is easy. you just have to grind a bit of metal off the block
