Hi Guys
As per title I have a late model (VVT-I motor) Getrag 6 speed from a JZA80 g/box for sale, I was going to use it in my JZX100 Chaser but ended up selling car and it's been sitting in my garage ever since. It's a complete conversion with a OS Giken Twin plate clutch setup, clutch pedal, handbrake assembly and master cylinder, suit converting an auto or for another project car. Engine/box had travelled 42k's and was in excellent condition.
Im Based in NZ, but can help with shipping to Aus.

That's a fantastic price for what's being offered.
That would mean it's the V161 if it's from the VVTI 2J.

Sorry don't want to split at this stage. If you want I can put it behind the 2JZ VVt-i motor for a complete package for 8k. Only thing missing is the ECU.

whats better the v160 or the v161, i know there different ratios
but which might be better in a street car,was there any faults of the early v160 that they may have fixed with the later v161

yes that is the plan ..but i will first get the 6 sp .. thenfit it . and make sure everything is sweet .. then i will sell r154 and flywheel and brand new 5 puck brass clutch , as a package ..

If your not going to use that twin plate clutch, please sell it to me. I just found out that mine is rooted because the slave cylinder wasn't installed properly.

I know this is off topic but can you tell me in what way the slave was installed incorrectly I am planning on putting my OS in with the same style slave as yours at some stage and the info would be handy. Was it installed incorrectly when the 7M was in there or did something go wrong during the swap to the V8? BTW I think I asked before but do you have anything from the Fcon left, especially the harness??

V160 is the earlier one but the later model vvti engines like this one came from had a V161.
