Does anyone here know much about Cefiro's? Are they eligible for import?

I was looking in HPI and I really like the look of these cars. I was thinking that one would be pretty good as my next car(ie 1-2years down the track.)
RB20's are too under-rated and they are very different to any other Grey imports.
The other, more faithful (to toymods) option could be an 89 twin turbo chaser...

a jzx81 chaser would shit all over a cefiro!!! IMO
My mate has a a non-turbo auto cefiro and it is a bucket of shit! has a cat back exhaust which makes it so loud and drony and is still slow as!
interior is same as silvia ie. povo. cramped back seats like a silvia.
need any more info.
BTW I am not even sure if they make them manual turbo? I know they don't make manual turbo laurels.

AFAIK jzx81 chasers are like most other 1jz powered cars and the majority of them are auto. But if you get a manual it would be more expensive but have an R154.
they are 89 models so as long as the rules don't change they should be eligible for import.

what about the newer models of chaser? like the 92-94 model? or even the latest one?
i might be spending next year in japan, so i want to make the most of staying over there, by bringing a car back over here. would the chaser be eligible?

if you live in japan and have a car registered for a year you can bring any car you want back.
at the moment only jzx100 (96-00ish) are available under SEVS. I don't think they compliance jzx90's yet but I could be wrong.
BTW jzx90 crestas are my fav!
